Alonso Ríos, teacher and writer, was one of the most important politicians of ‘galeguismo’ during Second Spanish Republic. In his exile he headed, together with Castelao, the ‘Consello de Galiza’. After Civil Spanish War outbreak, he could scape from the fascisms passing himself off as a portuguese beggar called ‘Siñor Afranio’.
Luis Tosar is ‘Siñor Afranio’, a documentary which mix a historic reconstruction of the reality with testimonies of all people who knew Alonso Ríos. The film is based in the autobiography ‘Siñor Afranio, ou como me rispei das gadoupas da morte’.
